A simple guide for starting your journey with God
O N E
God Loves You
No matter what your life looks like right now, God loves you. He wants you to know Him and experience the life He created you for.
The Bible says:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son…”— John 3:16
“I came that they may have life and have it to the full.” — John 10:10
When you say YES to Jesus, you’re saying yes to God’s love and His plan for your life.

We All Need God
Every one of us has sinned — made mistakes, done wrong things — and that separates us from God.
But God never wanted distance; He wants relationship.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23
“The wages of sin is death…” — Romans 6:23
We can’t fix this on our own.
We need a Savior.
That’s why Jesus came.

Why Jesus?
Jesus is the only person who ever lived a perfect life.
He healed, helped, loved, and changed people everywhere He went.
And He willingly died and rose again so your relationship with God could be restored.
“While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8
“…Christ died for our sins… was buried… and was raised on the third day…” — 1 Corinthians 15:3–4
Jesus said:
“I am the way… No one comes to the Father except through Me.” — John 14:6
Jesus is God’s answer.
And He is inviting you to say YES.

The Gift
You don’t earn this. You don’t work for this. You simply receive it.
It starts with repentance for your sin. To repent means to put a stake in the ground that from this day forward I am done pursuing my own agenda and start to head it the opposite direction to follow Jesus, His plans and His ways.
When you believe in Jesus — trusting Him as your Savior — God forgives your sins and makes you His child.
“…to all who received Him… He gave the right to become children of God.” — John 1:12
“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved!” — Acts 16:31
“Saved by grace… through faith… in Jesus Christ alone.” — Ephesians 2:8–9
Saying YES begins with a simple prayer from your heart.
F I V E
Pray This:
“God, thank You for loving me.
Thank You for sending Jesus to be my Savior.
I ask You to forgive me and make me new.
Jesus I believe that you are God’s one and only Son and I repent for my sin!
Today I say YES to You, Jesus — to Your love, Your plans, and Your ways.
In Your name Jesus, Amen.”
If you prayed that — your journey has begun!

Next Steps
Thank you for sharing with us your decision to say yes to Jesus.
Jesus said in John 8:32 “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
A disciple of Jesus is someone who does and says what Jesus did and said.
Be Baptized
Baptism is a public display of your faith in Jesus. It is a picture or symbol of the death, burial and resurrection, and an important step for a Believer. Baptism doesn’t save a person or cleanse them, but it is an important step of obedience encouraged in the scripture. Jesus set the example by being baptized himself. (Matthew 3:13-17)
Conduit has several opportunities a year to participate in this wonderful experience.
Talk to Jesus
The Bible says that we should “Pray without ceasing” that means we should constantly be aware that Holy Spirit now lives inside us. This awareness becomes a conversation…a discipline of continual prayer and the hallmark our new relationship with Jesus.
If prayer is new or difficult, simply share your heart with Jesus. First, thanking Him for the blessings in your life, then sharing your heart or request with Him as your Lord and Savior.
Connect Together
Jesus gave His life for the Church. We are called “His Bride” and it’s clear that we are to love one another and grow together in His word. Here are ways we do this at Conduit.
Sunday Gatherings
We gather as a church to worship in song, learn God’s Word, serve God by being Conduits of Jesus to the community in front of us and the world around us.
Connect Groups
We offer three different kinds of groups here at Conduit. Connect groups we call 2:42 GROUPS that go deeper into the Sunday Sermon with others, MEET-UP GROUPS- That are built around making friends and building relationships around common interests, Local Areas or Stages of Life. We also offer BIBLE STUDIES for men and women. These smaller groups meet in various locations and times. Find one that is right for you.
